Python Job: Network Engineer - Melbourn Location

• Expert-level technical skills in the design, development, deployment and configuration of Mobile subscriber management platforms for 3G, 4G and 5G ((including CUDB, HLR-FE, HSS-FE, UDR, UDM and EDA/ provisioning mediation) with a high understanding of Telstra's Wireless Core Network.
• A key part of this role will be to lead change and new ways of working with cross domains, planners, incident management operations and technology teams. A positive can do" attitude to lead and work collaboratively with the team and be a highly effective team player. A solid understanding of automation and scripting (such as Python and Ansible) will be highly advantageous as they will be a key part of developing Telstra's Core Control platforms.
• Candidates should also be able to lead and drive DevOps practices with a major focus on Network Security & Resiliency.
• lead the ongoing UDC growth and evolution of the Wireless Core Network.

Technical skill:

Mobile Core skills :

• Experience in Mobile Core network.
• Previous experience in Telecommunications and Wireless Core platforms.
• Strong in policy function, routing protocols and their application.
• Experience in maintaining Virtualised environments.
• Sound understanding of network services/protocols (Diameter, LDAP, REST, SOAP, SS7)
• Possess a detailed, in depth knowledge and understanding of Telstra Core Network
• Good understanding and knowledge of Telstra's provisioning systems.
• Provide detail and comprehensive reporting on fault investigations and or projects undertaken.

Virtualised and Cloud Competence

Experience in onboarding VMs onto a Cloud and coaching users how to do it themselves.

• Knowledge in Openstack, VMWare and Linux

Programming:

• Skilled in Ansible, Python and the use of code repositories such as GitHub.
• Competent in writing scripts
